MOSMAN RESIDENCE I - A CONTEMPORARY HOUSE BECOMES A FAMILY HOME

Our client had moved back to Australia from Hong Kong with their family, and approached us at first with an immediate need to help out with some tile selections in the bathroom, which they were midway through renovating, designing a bedroom for their teen daughter, and assist with carpet selection. As we spent more time together, we developed a great working relationship, and the brief expanded to more areas of the home - window coverings, furniture, lighting, accessories, artwork, wall finishes, and a review of the items they had already selected to check all was working together. We wanted to soften the existing space, as much of it couldn't be changed - stone flooring, aluminium windows, and lots of glass. By introducing soft linen curtains to frame the vast windows,  and selecting neutral yet textured fabrics for any custom pieces, we helped to layer in items that the client could work with over time.
