Key to a successful project is a thorough knowledge of the requirements and expectations, the budget, the timeline, all structural changes, as well as the clients personal style, how they wish to use their home, and their current lifestyle. We will spend time refining all these points with the client, and then respond with a Scope of Work and Estimate of Fee’s for review.
We then interpret this brief by moving on to the concept design stage. This can include mood boards, concept boards, floor plans, overall colour schemes, suggested finishes, and references of joinery and interior architecture elements to create a complete picture of the the project. We present this as a very collaborative part of the process, with lots of client feedback to ensure we are heading in the right direction.
The concept will be refined and detailed through floorplans, elevations, lighting plans, joinery designs and plans, and schedules for all FF & E (Fixtures, Finishes & Equipment), as well as all furniture items, where relevant. All final finishes and samples will be presented and approved, and supplier costs will be presented for approval.
Procurement and Design Implementation
This is where we carefully brief in and oversee all elements that we have designed for the client. During this process the FF&E is procured and project managed, and we tap into our ‘black book’ of tried and tested trades and suppliers to help bring the project to life. This includes site visits, supplier briefings, trade liaison, and supply of all the schedules and specifications required on site for building trades.
As the construction and building work is finalised, we manage delivery and installation of all the approved furnishings and decorative items - furniture, artwork, secondary lighting, soft furnishings, and accessories.
